TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Bisons take on the Norfolk Tides in the third game of a four-game series from Harbor Park (7:15 p.m.). The series is tied at one after the Herd’s 7-4 win on Thursday night and the Tides 9-0 victory last night. Following tomorrow’s game, Buffalo travels to Durham for four games.

VS. THE TIDES: The Bisons are 1-1 against the Tides. The Herd won last year’s season series 6-2 and has won 10 of its last 13 games against Norfolk. Buffalo has been especially good at Harbor Park with a 36-18 record in 54 games at the Tides’ home (.667 winning percentage).

ON THE BUMP: RHP JOSH STINSON will make his team-high 13th start of the season tonight. The righty is looking to bounce back from back-to-back losses during the team’s most recent homestand. In the three starts before those losses, Stinson was 2-0 with a 2.45ERA. In his last road test, Stinson allowed three runs (2ER) in six innings of a no-decision in Charlotte on June 2.

GONE FISHIN’: INF MICHAEL FISHER brings an 11-game hit streak into tonight’s action. The streak is tied with INF LUIS FIGUEROA for the second-longest for a Bison this season (OF KIRK NIEUWENHUIS, 16 games). Since June 6, Fisher has hit .302 (13-43) with three doubles, four RBI and eight runs scored. Since May 29, Fisher has hit in 17 of 19 games with the Herd.

EVANS ALMIGHTY: INF/OF NICK EVANS reached base four times last night with a single, a double and two walks. He had a five-game hit streak when he was promoted to the Mets on May 18 and will now take a seven-game stretch into tonight’s action. Five of the seven games have been multi-hit as Evans has averaged .462 (12-26) with four doubles and four RBI.

BISONS BITS: INF LUIS FIGUEROA saw his 11-game hit streak come to an end last night. The infielder had averaged .405 (15-27) from June 5-16…INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI has 43RBI in 56 games this season, or six more runs driven in than he had in 72 games with the Herd last season…Bisons’ catchers lead the International League with 30 caught stealings and a 39.5% success rate in throwing out would-be base stealers.

METS UPDATE: The Mets (34-36) lost their second straight with a 4-3 defeat to the Angels. Former Bisons OF ANGEL PAGAN had two hits and two RBI for the Mets. LHP CHRIS CAPUANO allowed just two earned runs in six innings but fell to 5-7 on the year. New York hosts Los Angeles again today at 7:10 p.m.
