Herd downed by Bats
Nelson Figueroa had his customary quality start, but it wasn’t enough on Thursday night, as the Bats used the left arm of Ben Jukich to down the Herd, 3-1, from Louisville Slugger Field and take the series from the Bisons three games to one.
Nelson Figueroa’s six strikeouts pass Jonathon Niese for the team lead in strikeouts with 86. Niese will have a chance to regain the team lead as he gets the start tomorrow against Indianapolis. Figueroa has thrown six or more innings in every start since May 5.
