Figueroa fantastic

The Bisons and Nelson Figueroa finally got a few breaks to go their way Tuesday Night at Harbor Park in Norfolk, VA as they knocked off the first-place Tides 4-2.

Figueroa cruised through the majority of his 114 pitch outing, the only run coming on a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning. He walked only one, scattered six hits and struck out three Tides’ hitters in his longest outing of the season.

Wily Mo Pena extended his hit streak to a Bisons season high nine games with his RBI single in the first inning. Pena is now hitting .333 (12-for-36) with five RBI during the streak…INF Javier Valentin left the game in the fifth inning with a sore right shoulder.
