TODAY’S GAME: This evening, the Buffalo Bisons host the Norfolk Tides for the final game of a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field (7:05 p.m.). The Herd is looking for the split of the series. The Tides hold a 2-1 advantage following yesterday’s 3-1 victory in Game 3. After this series, the homestand will continue on Tuesday with a four-game set against the Gwinnett Braves.

GET READY FOR REDDING: RHP Tim Redding will make the second start of his major league rehab assignment tonight against Norfolk. He debuted with the Herd last Wednesday and delivered a solid outing. The veteran allowed just one run with five strikeouts in six inning of work. The New York Mets placed Redding on the DL on April 6 (retro to March 27) with a right rotator cuff strain.

STARTING STRONG: RHP Nelson Figueroa kept the string of solid starts going for the Herd’s rotation yesterday. Figueroa allowed just two runs in seven innings of work for another quality start. In the last 11 games, Bisons starters have combined for a 2.08ERA. The group was struck out 47 and allowed just 49 hits in 65.0 innings of work.

THE REY TO GO: INF Argenis Reyes went 2 for 3 yesterday with a double and a walk. He is now hitting .328 on the season and with his 11 walks, has posted a .431 on-base percentage. If Reyes had two more plate appearances, his on-base mark would qualify as 6th best in the entire International League. He also ranks tied for 1st in the IL in fielding among second basemen (.990) and is tied for 1st on the Bisons with five steals.

SMOOTH CRIMINALS: OF Cory Sullivan stole his first base of the season last night. The Bisons have been safe in their last 17 steal attempts dating back to April 16. On the year, the Bisons have stolen base successfully in 20 of their 22 attempts (91% success rate).

ON THE CHARTS: The Bisons pitching staff now has the 5th lowest ERA in the International League (3.77). RHP Nelson Figueroa’s 2.57ERA is the 10th best while his 0.86 WHIP is tied for 3rd. OF Fernando Martinez is tied for 2nd in the IL with 12 doubles and 17 extra-base hits.
