Six shutout from Niese

Jonathon_niese1.jpgSouthpaw Jonathon Niese fired six strong shutout innings to lead the Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, in a 6-0 win over the Memphis Redbirds (Cardinals) on Wednesday afternoon from Jupiter, FL.

Niese worked the first six innings while RHP Kyle Snyder, RHP Eddie Kunz and LHP Connor Robertson all chipped a relief inning.

Three different Bisons’ had two hits and drove in a run for Buffalo – Fernando Martinez, Rob Mackowiak and Cory Sullivan – in the win. Jason Cooper also added two hits in the win.

The Bisons will conclude their spring exhibition schedule on Thursday against Memphis at Port St. Lucie, FL.

Just until the Bisons’ Opener… Game reports are called in as a courtesy to the Bisons Media/PR department. No official box score and/or game report is available for any minor league spring games.
