From the back fields at Spring Training to the hardwood, we cover a lot of information on Sunday. The second of four Buffalo Bisons Preview Shows hit the air at 5 p.m. on the Bisons flagship station, WWKB 1520 AM.

Two straight out of gate

The Buffalo Bisons improved to 2-0 this spring with a 7-1 victory over the Memphis Redbirds on Saturday afternoon from Jupiter, FL.

The Herd opened up their 10-game spring slate on Friday with a 6-5 victory over New Orleans. The Bisons will hold a camp day on Sunday and face the Redbirds again on Monday.

2009 Bisons MVP OF JESUS FELICIANO led the way for the Herd on Saturday, going 2-4 with two runs, an RBI and a stolen base. Newcomer INF MIKE CERVENAK also went 2-4 with an RBI.

On the mound, RHP JAKE EGBERT earned the win with three shutout innings of work. He allowed two hits and struck out two. LHP MIKE O’CONNOR also threw two perfect innings for Buffalo.

Herd wins opener, two Cintron homers

The Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, opened up the 2010 spring exhibition schedule with a 6-5 victory over the New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins) on Friday afternoon from Port St. Lucie, FL.

The Bisons face the Memphis Redbirds tomorrow in Jupiter, FL. for the second game of their 10-game exhibition schedule.

Bisons INF Alex Citron was the hitting hero for the Herd, going 2-3 with a pair of home runs and 3RBI. The switch hitter homered from both the left side and right side of the plate.

On the mound, LHP Bobby Livingston threw three shutout innings, striking out three batters.

ON AIR! Bisons season preview show

The first of four Buffalo Bisons’ season preview shows will air at 5 p.m. Sunday on the flagship station for Bisons Baseball, WWKB 1520.

Former Buffalo manager Terry Collins headlines the show with Kevin Burkhardt from SportsNet New York, Mike Harrington of the Buffalo News and VP/GM Mike Buczkowski all sharing thoughts during the hour.
