Lots of chatter today in camp

We had an incredibly busy day around the Mets training complex today. Logged a ton of interviews and provided a quick trip around the park to show you a fan’s point of view.

All the information will be on www.bisons.com but the Spring Training show will debut Monday, March 29 on Time Warner Cable SportsNet.

Tomorrow is our final day in the Florida sun, I’ll try to pack as much and bring it back to Buffalo!

Back in the ballpark

The familiar hum of a blower on a stadium worker’s back greeted us this morning. The Big League club plays at 1 p.m. today on ESPN and there’s certainly a buzz already.

I have been chatting with B-Mets radio man, Matt McCabe, getting a sense of who could make the jump from Double-A to the Herd this season. He’s raved about the quality of both player and personalities that hope to infuse the Bisons’ clubhouse.

We’re getting set to head into the Mets clubhouse and catch up with familiar faces. Later today we’ll be going to Jupiter, FL and watch the Bisons play the Marlins Triple-A club.

More as day one continues later.

Spring Training 2010!

We bring you greetings from Port St. Lucie and the sunshine that is Grapefruit League Baseball this time of year!

After a very busy day of travel, tonight turned out to be very productive. ESPN provided the only racket in the desolate Tradition Field tonight as preparations continued for the telecast on Tuesday afternoon. A picturesque sunset provided our camera crew great shots as we prepare our own telecast. Since the Mets had a road game and the Bisons game with St. Louis was washed earlier, not much was happening outside.

We are at the yard by 7 a.m. on Tuesday to talk with various players and personnel prior to driving south a tad and watching the Bisons play in Jupiter against the Marlins Triple-A club at 1 p.m.

Who would you like to hear from? Let us know via our email address (broadcast@bisons.com) or tweet it up! www.twitter.com/BuffaloBisons.

Gotta crash because it will be a busy and sunny day ahead!
