IL managers prep for 'Amazin Race' ahead
An experienced class of managers will guide the 14 teams of the International League in 2010, headlined by two-time IL Manager of the Year Rick Sweet of Louisville, and Durham’s Charlie Montoyo, who led the Bulls to the 2009 Triple-A National Championship.
Bisons’ manager Ken Oberkfell will bring his 2010 Buffalo Bisons up from Port St. Lucie, FL in hopes of capturing a Governors’ Cup championship. If he does, it will be his second title this year.

Mets pick up Jason Pridie
The New York Mets today announced that they claimed outfielder Jason Pridie off waivers from the Minnesota Twins.
Pridie was especially tough against the Bisons, hitting .377 (23-61) with four home runs and 12RBI in 14 games against the Herd.
Pridie went to the Twins in a six-player trade headlined by outfielder Delmon Young and righthanded pitcher Matt Garza on November 28, 2007.
F-Mart's MVP effort gives DR Caribbean Series
We already knew Ken Oberkfell was a World Series Champion. In just over 60 days, the Herd’s skipper will bring his 2010 Buffalo Bisons up from Port St. Lucie, FL in hopes of capturing a Governors’ Cup championship. If he does, it will be his second title this year.

At the plate, Fernando Martinez hit .348 with two home runs and four RBI in the six games to earn series MVP while Nelson Figueroa struck out eight in a complete game 7-1 victory over Mexico in his only series appearance.

The Buffalo Bisons Hot Stove Show will debut on Time Warner Cable SportsNet on Tuesday, February 10 at 6:30 p.m. And let’s not forget the big announcement. The Bisons and Buffalo will play host to the 2012 Triple-A All-Star Game. IL President Randy Mobley was on hand for the big news as the mid-summer classic returns to were it began some 25 years ago.

Mets set Binghamton staff
New manager Tim Teufel will be flanked by a pair of returning Binghamton Mets coaches for the 2010 season. The New York Mets announced today that Mark Brewer, a member of the B-Mets coaching staff in 2006, will assume the role of pitching coach and Luis Natera will return for his third season as hitting coach.
The Bisons field staff has been set since Thanksgiving. Ken Oberkfell will return as manager of the Buffalo Bisons for the 2010 season. Pitching Coach Ricky Bones will also remain a part of the Herd’s staff while Jack Voigt has been promoted from the Brooklyn Cyclones (A) to take over as the team’s new Hitting Coach.
