Get geared up
The newest member of the Bisons broadcast team, Joel Godett, provides a preview of what Bisons’ fans can see when the club opens the 2009 season Thursday afternoon and continues an eight-game homestand.
“There are a lot of guys with three, five, seven years of big league experience,” Bobby Kielty told Godett. “It’s definitely a different Triple-A team than I’ve ever played for. There are a lot of guys with a lot of potential and a lot of ability because they’ve been to the big leagues, and not just for a cup of coffee or a month.”
Just before the game tune into Time Warner Cable SportsNet at 2:30 p.m. when we visit with a few players and Herd skipper, Ken Oberkfell prior to the Opening Day telecast.

A 'Classic' kickoff
Our friends at Coca-Cola Bottling of Buffalo invited us to help kick off the regular season with a picnic this afternoon at the production plant, based right here in Buffalo. Tons of ballpark goodies were being handed out by ‘team Coca-Cola’ and they had the grill fired up too. They’re just as excited about Opening Day as we are and many of the folks will help ‘pop the top’ tomorrow on Opening Day!
b/t/w… be sure to grab the Coke product bottles with the “Made in WNY” sticker that shows the seams of a baseball and the Coca-Cola Field logo to help support fellow WNY’s.
