The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF FERNANDO MARTINEZ has been placed on the disabled list, retroactive to April 13, with a right hamstring strain. Also, INF LUIS HERNANDEZhas been activated to the team’s roster.

 Martinez, 22, has played in four games for the Bisons this season. The outfielder hit .313 (5-16) with a double and two walks.

 Hernandez, 26, split the 2010 season between the Bisons and Double-A Binghamton to before playing 17 games with the Mets. With the Herd, the infielder averaged .280 (53-189) with 10 doubles, four triples and 12RBI.

 Hernandez hit .222 (8-36) with four RBI in 17 games with the Mets this spring.
