Stoner Shines, Bisons Win, 6-1

After an up-and-down start to his Triple-A career, Bisons starter Tobi Stoner seems to be hitting his stride.

Stoner went the distance, allowing just one run on five hits, as the Herd beat their thruway rival, the Rochester Red Wings, 6-1, Monday night at Coca-Cola Field.

The Bisons wore Buffalo Professional Fireman’s Association hats on Monday in honor of the tragic deaths of Buffalo Firemen, Lt. Charles “Chip” McCarthy and Jonathan Croom… OF Jesus Feliciano went 1-for-4 on Monday increasing his hit total to 141 on the season. His 141 hits are good for second in the IL behind Gwinnett’s Barbaro Canizares… C Robinson Cancel has five extra-base hits over his last seven games. On the year, Cancel has 14 extra-base hits (10 doubles, 2 triples, 2 home runs)… RHP Lance Broadway threw the last nine-inning complete game for the Bisons (July 8 vs. Scranton/WB, 4-1 win)
