The 25th Season in Downtown Buffalo
The Bisons’ 2012 season will be their 25th year of play at Coca-Cola Field. The club will begin previewing their year-long promotion with a special video on the BisonsTV HD board on Fan Appreciation Night.

The Bisons began play at then-Pilot Field on April 14, 1988 with a 1-0 victory over the Denver Zephyrs. The fourth home game of the 2012 season will also be played on April 14 as the Bisons host the Pawtucket Red Sox.

The Bisons will announce their 2012 promotional schedule during the off-season, but several year-long celebrations to honor the club’s 25 years downtown will be part of the festivities.

The Triple-A All-Star Game
The Bisons will host the 25th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game, presented by New Era and The Buffalo News, on Wednesday, July 11. The International League All-Star team will host a squad of the best players from the Pacific Coast League. Coca-Cola Field hosted the first every Triple-A All-Star game on July 13, 1988 with the American League defeating the National League, 2-1 (at that time, teams were divided by their affiliated clubs).

The Triple-A All-Star events actually begin on Monday, July 9 with the annual Triple-A Home Run Derby at Coca-Cola Field, presented by Seneca Niagara Casino & Hotel. The event will feature sluggers from both leagues as well as in-game and post-game entertainment.

A ticket package including the Home Run Derby and the All-Star Game are available for a limited time for only $35 at Bisons.com.
