Carrasco, Feliciano meet Herd
The Buffalo Bisons today announced that OF JESUS FELICIANO has been promoted to the Bisons from Double-A Binghamton. He will join the team in Rochester for the start of a four-game series with the Red Wings.
Also, RHP D.J. CARRASCO, optioned by the Mets on Sunday night, has officially joined the Bisons team. To make roster room, RHP MANNY ALVAREZ and RHP DYLAN OWEN have been transferred to Binghamton.
Feliciano began the season with Buffalo but was transferred to the Binghamton Mets on April 13 after going 1-11 in five games with Buffalo. Feliciano hit .324 (11-24) with a pair of doubles in eight games with the B-Mets. The Bisons 2009 Most Valuable Player, Feliciano’s .319 average in 224 games with Buffalo over the past two-plus seasons is the second-highest average in the club’s modern era (OF Dave Clark, .327).
Carrasco pitched in seven games with the Mets this season, making one start. The Hasslet, TX-native is 0-1 with a 5.23ERA with six strikeouts in 10.1 innings of work.
Owen was 1-2 with a 4.70ERA in four games and three starts with the Bisons. Alvarez was 0-2 with a 10.29ERA in seven relief appearances with the Herd this season.
