Mason marvelous in debut

Chris Mason has made two triple-A starts this season, one against the Bisons and now one with the Herd. The latter turned out much better for the young pitcher.

Mason added to the roster on Tuesday afternoon, threw seven scoreless innings as the Herd beat the Yankees, 4-0, Tuesday night at PNC Field.

BISONS NOTES:
OF Jesus Feliciano is now tied for the league lead in hits with Barbaro Cannizares with 136 hits after his 3-for-5 performance on Tuesday… INF/OF Nick Evans was promoted to the Mets on Tuesday. Evans hit .211 (50-237) with a team-high 10 home runs and 30RBI in 66 games with the Bisons. The young slugger was heating up in August for the Bisons, hitting .289 (28-97) with seven doubles, two triples, five home runs and 16RBI in 26 games… INF Andy Green rejoined the Herd from his short stint in New York. Green went 1-for-4 with a walk in four appearances for the Mets.
