TODAY’S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the third game of a four-game set at PNC Field (7:05 p.m.). The Yanks currently lead the series 2-0 after yesterday’s 2-1 win. Tonight’s game is part of a season-long nine-game roadtrip for the Herd. After this series, the Bisons will play two in Pawtucket before a three-game series against the Red Wings in Rochester.

vs. THE YANKS: The Bisons are 3-9 against the Yankees this year. After the Yanks swept a four-game series at Coca-Cola Field from April 13-16, the two clubs have split three straight two-game sets. The Bisons and Yanks still have two more games to play in Buffalo, NY on September 2-3.

ON BROADWAY: RHP Lance Broadway is looking to repeat his last performance against the Yankees. On July 8 in his only start against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this year, Broadway threw a 9.0-inning complete game to beat the Yanks. In that game, he allowed just one run on seven hits while striking out five. Broadway is trying to rebound off a pair of losses his last two starts.

ONE OFF THE TOP: With his hit yesterday, OF Jesus Feliciano kept pace with the two other hit leaders in the International League. Feliciano has 133 hits on the season, just one shy of the IL held by Gwinnett’s Barbaro Cannizares and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s Austin Jackson. Feliciano’s .303 batting average is also tied for 9th in the IL. The outfielder also leads the Bisons in runs (51), doubles (28) and stolen bases (12).

NICK THE STICK: INF/OF Nick Evans became the first Bisons batter to reach 10 home runs yesterday with his first-inning blast. The slugger is hitting .283 (26-92) in August with a .554 slugging percentage. Evans has six doubles, two triples and five home runs already this month.

BISONS BITS: With his inning of relief work last night, RHP Derrick Ellison became the 60th player to play for the Bisons this season…The Bisons have lost three straight games by one run (2-1, 1-0, 2-1). Buffalo is 18-25 in one-run games this year…OF Chip Ambres has collected an outfield assist in back-to-back games. He also has three outfield assists in his last five games.
