Bisons split with Chiefs

The Herd and Chiefs split a doubleheader Friday night for the second day in a row at Coca-Cola Field. The Bisons slugged their way to a 7-2 game one win but missed some opportunities in game two as Syracuse came back to take the nightcap, 2-1.

Buffalo hits the road for a nine-game road trip and returns to Coca-Cola Field for the final four home games of the season on August 30.

BISONS NOTES:
LHP Derrick Ellison has been promoted to the Bisons from Binghamton (AA). Ellison, 29, signed with the Mets on August 14 and pitched three games with Binghamton. He did not allow a run or a hit in 6.2 innings of work (1-0 record, 2BB, 2K). He began the year with Huntsville (AA) of the Milwaukee Brewers organization and went 2-2 with a 4.45ERA and two saves in 19 games (28.1IP, 21H, 18G, 14ER, 15BB, 26K)
