History for the Herd

A Bisons blog wasn’t even available when the Bisons tossed back-to-back shutouts in a twin-bill at Coca-Cola Field. Nearly 12 years have passed since Buffalo blanked Indianapolis 8-0 in both games during the 1997 season. That night Sean Casey was the star, hitting three homers between the two games. Tonight, pitching became the buzz at the ballpark.

In game one, Jonathon Niese dominated Toledo during a 1-0 win and in the nightcap it was Nelson Figueroa’s mastery that leads to the 2-0 blank versus the ‘Hens.

Buffalo looks for a series win against Toledo at 1:05 p.m. Sunday. Additionally, the Buffalo and Toledo game can be seen on SNY, the TV home of the New York Mets.
