The Buffalo Bisons have added OF Fernando Martinez to their active roster after he was optioned by the New York Mets yesterday. To make roster room, the Herd transferred RHP Connor Robertson to the Binghamton Mets (AA).

The Mets also announced that they have claimed LHP Arturo Lopez off waivers (San Diego) and assigned him to Buffalo. He is expected to join the Bisons on their roadtrip.

Martinez, 20, played 18 games with New York and hit .194 (12-62) with five doubles, five RBI and seven runs scored. He collected his first career big league hit on May 30 against Florida as he went 2-5 with a double and an RBI against the Marlins.
