Rehab on hold for Ollie

As indicated on “Countdown to Bisons Baseball” last night, Oliver Perez will not continue his MLB rehab assignment in Buffalo. Following a visit with team doctors in New York City yesterday, he will stay on the disabled list in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Oliver Perez made his first rehabilitation start on May 26 vs. Lehigh Valley working 4.1 innings, allowed three hits, one run, earned, with five walks, and five strikeouts. He tossed 88 pitches, 48 for strikes and retired seven of the last eight batters he faced.

The lefthander threw 5.0 innings on May 21st in an extended spring training game in Port St. Lucie, FL. Also threw 56 pitches in 3.0 scoreless and hitless innings with four walks and seven strikeouts on May 16th in an extended spring game.
