Fernando Martinez evens Bisons in 9th

Fmart1.jpgThe Buffalo Bisons, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets, played to a 4-4 tie against the New Orleans Zephyrs (Marlins) on Tuesday afternoon from Jupiter, FL.

Bisons outfielder Jesus Feliciano went 2-3 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored. Outfielder Fernando Martinez’s (pictured right) RBI-single in the ninth inning helped the Bisons pull even with the Zephyrs.

On the mound, RHP Kyle Snyder threw three scoreless innings while Valerio de los Santos and Connor Robertson each chipped in an inning of scoreless relief.

Following Wednesday’s camp day, the Bisons return to the field, facing Memphis (St. Louis), on Thursday afternoon.

Steady Eddie to join show

EdKranepool.jpgThe third installment of the 2009 Bisons’ Season Preview Show begins at 5 o’clock tonight on the Bisons flagship, WWKB-AM 1520 and Mets great Ed Kranepool, who started his professional baseball career in the Nickel City will headline tonight’s show.

Not to spoil the surprise but Ed Kranepool had never seen the famous Saturday Night Live skit with Bill Murray, involving him and other Mets from nearly three decades ago. What a moment, witnessing him view the footage in our offices and you’ll enjoy hearing him talk about it on the show.

Beginning Monday, you can enjoy an archived version of the show exclusively on Bisons.com if you missed any of the show or the first two programs.

Hear & see it yourself

Mycapture.JPGWe had a plenty of action this afternoon at Coca-Cola Field during the Family Fun Day Open House as fans prepare for Opening Day (April 9 at 3:05 pm). I asked a few fans to share their thoughts about the day and why they decided to spend some time with other Bisons’ fans.

Hear what they had to say: In their words, CLICK HERE!

Oddly, none of the women I wanted to talk with wanted to talk to me… some things never change.

Bisons.com was patrolling the event snapping pics of fans too. Where you captured?
